NAGLAOM ang Davao del Norte Schools Division nga motaas pa ang magpa-enrol sa Senior High School tungod sa “Voucher Program” sa pag-implementar sa K-12 sa Departamento sa Edukasyon.

Ang “Voucher Program” maoy alang sa mga nakatapos sa Grade 10 (Junior High School) kinsa buot mopadayon pag-eskwela sa Senior High School ngadto sa dili sakop sa DepEd nga mga eskwelahan sama sa pribadong high schools, kolehiyo ug mga unibersidad sugod karon nga ting-eskwela SY 2016-2017.

Ang voucher program magpahimo sa estudyante nga makakuha ug diskwento o kaha mabawasan ang bayronon nga singlon sa eskwelahan (dili sakop sa DepEd) diin siya magtungha.

Ang bayad ubos sa voucher program dili ihatag nga cash ngadto sa estudyante kundili ang DepEd na ang magpaigo aron mabayaran ang eskwelahan diin ang estudyante nagtungha.

Ilawom sa K-12 nga programa sa Davao del Norte ug Tagum City divisions, ang estudyante nga mopadayon sa pagtungha sa dugang duha ka tuig nga Senior High School dihal sa pribadong eskwelahan makadawat ug suporta gikan sa gobyerno ug P17,500 matag tuig (ang suporta nagkalahi sumala sa kahimtang sa LGU). Ang estudyante libre nga mopili sa upat ka (4) tracks nga gitanyag sa K-12 nga programa sa DepEd nga naglakip sa: Academic, Technical-Vocational Livelihood, Sports ug Arts & Design.

Ubos sa Academic track, ang estudyante makapili tali sa Accounting, Business ug Management Strand; Humanities ug Social Sciences (HUMSSS); Science, Technology, Engineering ug Mathematics (STEM) strand ug ang Pre-Baccalaureate Maritime.

Ilawom sab sa Technical-Vocational-Livelihood, mapilian sab ang Agri-Fishery, Home Economics, ICT, Industrial Arts ug TVL Maritime.

Sa DepEd’s K-12 nga programa, ang usa ka gradwado mas andam na kung mopadayon ba siya sa kolehiyo, magnegosyo o kaha manarbaho.

Hangtod niadtong Hunyo 14, matod ni Davao del Norte Assistant Division Superintendent Dr. Winnie Batoon nga ang nag-enrol sa Senior High School (Grade 11) miabot lamang ug 3,641 sa 5,025 nga target sa gidaghanon, bale 72% lamang sa katibuk-an.

“And another reason which our Regional Director would like to correct is the mindset of some of our students and our parents that even if their enrollment is one week before the start of classes they have that mindset that their children can still be accepted even after two weeks or one month after the opening of classes. So that is why we are expecting that as we go along, students will come in and enroll in the Elementary, Junior High School or Senior High School,” pasabot ni Dr. Batoon atubangan sa lokal media gikan sa Tagum ug Davao.
