Since the majority has already spoken, we should all respect the decision of the recently concluded decisions. Now is the time to show solidarity behind our newly-elected officials,” pasiuna ni Gob AGR atubangan sa mga empleyado atol sa convocation Lunes, Mayo 20 nga mapasalamaton sa suporta ilabina ang kahapsay ug kalinaw sa miaging eleksyon.

“Notwithstanding the advent of the digital knowledge economy, agriculture remains as one of the biggest pillars of the national economy. The agriculture sector is still an indispensable engine of growth, providing unremitting employment opportunities for our countryside. It is, therefore, important for all the stakeholders of the sector to keep abreast with the new strategies, innovations and procedures in moving the industry forward. This is important, especially that the sector is presently being faced with various challenges. . Yet, one more pressing concern, which threatens to jeopardize the sustainability of the industry and its future is the dwindling number of young people engaged in farming,” pagbutyag ni Gob AGR sa mga hinungdan sa menos nga pagtagad sa agrikultura bisan diha sa mga anak ug mag-uuma.

“We forgot about the basics, especially our primary status as yet an agricultural economy. We keep on talking about expanding cultivated areas to increase productivity and meet growing food requirement. But, we missed the point that the urgent need for sustainable food production is highly dependent upon a new generation of young farmers, who shall steer the future of the industry. I hope that the government, and the coming provincial leadership, for that matter, will take on this big challenge, while continually giving high premium to the growth of the sector,” pag-awhag ni Gob AGR.

“We take comfort in the truth that we are leaving a province which is in good shape. We hope and pray that the newly-elected leaders will be true to their promises and to serve the best interest of the Dabaonons. . I think I will be also involved in agriculture in the next few years. I will be around and just a call away when you need me. . .
