“With that effort of Datu Guibang and his group to request for the closure of the Salugpungan campus in Palma Gil. So nag-request siya from the tribal council to close the Salugpungan. Yun na nga on November 11 this year, the Salugpungan campus was closed by the tribal leaders themselves in Palma Gil. Then nasundan, napangalawahan nung November 27 wherein another Salugpungan school in Sitio Dulyan was closed,” pagbutyag ni Army Officer Guitering atol sa maong Provincial Peace and Order Meeting.  

Tungod sa maong pag-sira, mihimo sab ug aksyon ang kanhi Bayan Muna partylist representative Satur Ocampo ug mga kaubanan nga miresulta hinuon sa ilang pagkadakop.

“That move ired the group of Satur Ocampo with France Castro and 16 others wherein on the eve of November 27, nagpunta sila doon sa Talaingod allegedly to rescue the minors na nasabing na-trapped sa area. The following day, na-trapped sila sa PNP and with the 56^th IB in Talaingod and it leads to the arrest of Satur Ocampo and 17 others, na-inquest sila and on 01 December nakapag-post sila ng bail,” padayong pahayag ni Guitering.

Bisan kung nakagawas ang mga dinakpan apan desidido ang gobyerno nga ipadayon ang kaso nga nag-pasidaan labot sa ilang gidahom dugang mga protesta.

“With that, ang effort natin ngayon is to compile the evidences and the witnesses and affidavits of the parents ng mga estudyante and we are endeavouring the protection of the witness. Following the arrest of Satur Ocampo and 17 others, we expect more protest actions from the communist fronts both at the national and local level in the coming days, in the coming weeks,” pasidaan sa army officer nga nagbutyag sab sa dakong purohan nga mobalhin ang Southern Regional Mindanao Command (SMRC) sa NPA ngadto sa laing dapit tungod sa pagka-bulabog sa ilang kalihokan sa Talaingod.

“With the heavy deployment of our troops in Talaingod, particularly the 56^th IB, we are foreseeing the transfer of the headquarters of the SMRC from Talaingod to the neighbouring town because those area are the critical days of the Southern Mindanao Regional Committee,” padayong pasabot ni Guitering.

Gidayeg ni BGen Ernesto Torres ang hiniusang paningkamot sa kagamhanan ug mga Lumad.

“On the closure of the Salugpungan, napakagandang development ito. Nakita natin yung effort ng both the Lumads, the AFP and other agencies even the local government that we are one in saying that sila mismo ang nagpapasara,” pagklaro sab ni BGen Torres.
