NAKASENTRO ang ika-11 ka tuig nga panagtapok sa mga sakop sa Pag-asa Youth Association of the Philippines (PYAP) Davao del Norte Chapter labot sa paglikay sa ilegal nga droga kagahapon, Myerkoles, Agosto 30 didto sa RDR Gym, Mankilam, Tagum City. 

Ang panagtapok nagdala sa tema “43 years of meaningful participation towards a drug-free nation,” diin ang Davao del Norte nahimong chapter balik niadtong tuig 2006.

“It is already 43 years in existence but in Davao del Norte we are celebrating the 11th socio-cultural sa competition. But this is promoting camaraderie among the sector. . the spirit of good relationship and probably sharing of best practices in their respective LGUs,” pasabot ni Provincial Social Welfare Development Office (PSWDO) department head Ms. Arlene Semblante.

Gikalipay ni Gobernador Anthony del Rosario ang panagtapok nga nag-apil sa paghisgot sa adbokasiya kontra ilegal nga droga.  

“I am happy to see that in today’s program you have included drugs as one of your major topics kay kini man gyud ang pi--naka-importanteng programa sa atong kasamtangang presidente, Presidente Rodrigo Duterte. Drugs is the number one problem that we are facing . . . kay nakita man gyod nato ang dako’g epekto-- negative, negatibong epekto sa drugs sa atong kabatan-onan ug sa tanang katawhan sa atong nasod,” pahayag ni Gobernador Anthony del Rosario sa iyang mensahe ngadto sa mga batan-on gikan sa tanang LGUs sa probinsya.

Gikahimuot sab sa gobernador ang pag-apil-apil sa mga kabatan-onan bisan sa nasyonal nga mga isyu nga nagpakita sa napakusog nga sektor.

“It is good to see that the youths has engaged in important issues not only with regards to your sector but also with national issues. This is a sign that we are slowly ending the apathy that has long existed in our country. . .The role to empower our youth in this fast changing times is likewise embedded in our BEST PEOPLE development agenda,” dugang pahayag sa gobernador.

Matod ni Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Provincial Director Agent Clodito Cañada nga mao ang guest speaker sa panagtapok, nga ang mga batan-on dako ug ikatabang sa kampanya kontra ilegal nga droga ilabina nga sobra 20,000 na ang misurender sa Davao del Norte.   

“Now our challenge is to help the government, to attain this objective towards a drug-free nation. . . Asa mo nga side nga pwede makatabang? To inform us if you know one of your colleagues, one of your neighbours is engaged in illegal drugs. . Second sa demand reduction. . you could be of great help. Ikaw mismo . . magsulti sa membro imong pamilya “ayaw gyod ug attempt nga mogamit ug drugs.” Or you could help us in educating the people through lectures, seminars or symposium,” pasabot ni PDEA Agent Cañada sa iyang mensahe ngadto sa mga batan-on nga kasagaran miundang na sa pag-eskwela. 

Gihangyo pa sa PDEA Agent nga sanglit ang problema sa ilegal nga droga maoy kuyanap na kaayo, gikinahanglan gayod ang pagtinabangay sa tanang sektor lakip ang mga batan-on.  

“Dili lang ni trabaho sa PDEA karon. Dili lang ni trabaho sa PNP. Dili lang ni trabaho sa LGU. This is the job for all of us which is a collective effort. Ayaw ninyo basola ang PDEA, ayaw ninyo basola ang PNP kung dili nato masulbad ang problema sa illegal drugs. . Basolon nato ang kaugalingon kay wa ta magpakialam sa programa sa gobyerno. And I hope . . .when you go back to your community, you could be one of the persons na nag-advocate sa anti-ilegal drug campaign sa government,” hangyo ni PDEA Director Cañada.

Sa maong panagtapok, nag-indigay sab ang mga batan-on sa ilang katakos sa pagkanta, poster-making, essay writing ug ubang panagtigi sa katakos.
