Gipahimangnoan ni Gobernador Anthony G. del Rosario ang mga “boarders” ug gihagit ang mga opisyales sa Davao del Norte District Jail (DDNDJ) nga dili gayod tugotan nga mosulod ang droga sa pasilidad atol sa pagbukas sa kasaulogan sa National Correctional Consciousness Week niadtong Lunes, Oktubre 24.
Ang “boarders” nagtumong sa mga binilanggo sulod sa Davao del Norte District Jail.
“We commemorate this momentous occasion to raise the level of consciousness and to promote awareness for public participation in the rehabilitation and reintegration of prisoners, probationers, and parolees into the mainstream of our society. But, we are greatly surprised by the recent congressional inquiry investigating the drug trade perpetrated by high-profile inmates of the National Bilibid Prisons, unya in cahoots pod sila sa atong mga prison officials and guards. . . .Dire kaha sa atoa naa kaha ana?” matod ni Gob AGR ngadto sa mga boarders ug mga opisyales nga mitambong.

“So far morag tinuod kay wa pa man ko’y nadungog dire sa atong kulungan. . . . Wa lang ko kahibalo basin gi-sekreto lang ninyo sa akoa. But rest assured pag naa gani ko’y mahibal-an nga ing-ani ato gyod ning segurohon nga malimpyo gyod ni, para mawala gyod ning ing-ani nga activities. So there is a challenge to both our warden and assistant warden and all the officials of the Davao del Norte District Jail. I do not want to find out later on that we are also doing the same things here in our jail as what is being done in other jails like the new Bilibid Prison,” padayong pahimangno sa gobernador.
Apan gawas sa kusganong pahimangno, gidayeg sab sa gobernador ang mga opisyales ug ang tanang naglihok alang sa pagpatunhay sa DDNDJ uban sa padayong pag-agda nga tabangan ang tumong sa nasyonal nga kagamhanan nga mabalik ang pagsalig sa publiko ngadto sa gobyerno.
“So, today, we also give tribute to our prison officials, correctional workers and volunteers for their efforts, particularly in safeguarding the offenders, as well as in rehabilitating and transforming them to become productive and law-abiding citizens again in contributing to nation-building. However, I urge you to strengthen your commitment to help the national government’s goal of bringing back the people’s trust and confidence to our criminal justice system,” padayong pahimangno ni Gob AGR.
Ang 2016 National Correctional Consciousness Week nga kasaulogan adunay tema nga “Husay at Propesyonalismo Tumtugon sa Hamon ng Pagbabago” nga ipahigayon gikan Oktubre 24-29.
