SOBRA usa ka gatos nga Dabaonon scholars ang nakatapos ug kurso ilawom sa Expanded Students’ Grants-in-Aid for Poverty Alleviation (ESGP-PA), atol sa ‘Araw ng Pagkilala’ Martes, Hulyo 3 didto sa RDR Gym.
Ang ESGP-PA maoy hiniusang programa sa Department of Social Welfare & Development (DSWD), Commission on Higher Education (CHED) ug pang-publikong state universities & colleges (SUCs).
Todo-suporta ang probinsyal nga panggamhanan pinaagi sa Provincial Social Welfare Development Office (PSWDO).
“Dire sa Davao del Norte, mao gyod ang tuyo nato, ang kalamboan ug kalinaw sa atong probinsya. And aside from businesses as a sign of progress in any municipality or in a province, seeing students graduate from college, for me is another sign of progress especially if they are children such as you, kamo nga mga anak sa 4Ps. .173 graduates from a low-income family is such a wonderful sight for me,” matod ni Gobernador Anthony del Rosario nga naghisgot sa paningkamot sa probinsya nga matabangan bisan kadtong wala makahuman nga empleyado sa Kapitolyo nga maka-gradwar ug college pinaagi sa Davao del Norte Learning Institute (DNLI).
Gidayeg pag-ayo sa gobernador ang programa ni Presidente Rodrigo Duterte nga libre na ang college tuition diha sa tunghaan nga gipanag-iya sa gobyerno samtang ang ESGP-PA maoy pinasahe, edukasyonal programa alang sa mga poorest of the poor nga pamilya.
“I’m so happy that under the Duterte administration, libre na gyod ang tuition sa state universities and college. For me, usa gyod na sa dakong legasiya nga mabilin ni Presidente Digong sa atoa. And its funny that not a lot of people are talking about it. It seems that anybody is so focused on drugs, criminality, that they forget this particular program. We all know, medyo gasgas na rin ito, that education really, is the solution to poverty. You are all college graduates and it is difficult to find a job but you have all the credentials. To all of you congratulations, and I wish you all the best in your future endeavors, good luck and God speed,” panghinaut sa Davao del Norte gobernador.

“First is financial struggle. We are 8 in the family, ako yung pinaka eldest. So ako yung tatawid ng mga kapatid ko. In terms sa pag-aaral, talagang napakahirap especially state college yung school. In terms sa aming mga project and assignment, kung hindi ako ESGP scholar hindi seguro ako makapag survive,” matod ni Jessabeth gikan sa Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) nga migradwar ingong Magna-Cum Laude.
Dulot gayod sa kahiladman ang iyang pasalamat sa programa.
“Talagang napakalaking tulong ito especially sa mga mahihirap kay kani siya nga programa hindi lang ako yung natulungan esecially my co-grantees and I believe this is one of the major journey that we have to conquer as part of the poorest of the poor family. I know marami itong maitulong to change our lives especially our status,” matod sa Magna Cum Laude sa DNSC.
Atol sa Araw ng Pagkilala, publikong gipahayag sa mga scholars nga dili una sila magminyo aron matabangan ilahang pamilya ug aron dili sab masayang ang tabang sa gobyerno.
