TUNGOD sa malampusong pinaka-unang Mindanao-wide dog show sports competition, plano karon sa Davao del Norte pinaagi sa Provincial Veterinary Office (PVO) ang paghimo niining nasyonal nga kalihokan.

Matod ni PVO department head Dr. Renato Embate nga ang Mindanao-wide dog show maoy pasiuna sa plano nga national dog show competition karong sunod tuig.

“Yung vision natin, is for us stage the national dog sports competition next year, hopefully, hopefully. Yung organizers at saka yung mga participants sabi nila this is a good place, good venue for that event next year,” tug-an ni PVO department head Dr. Embate nga ila dayon sugdan pagplano ilabina ang pagkuha ug mga sponsors alang sa dakong kalihokan.

Bisan kung “gamay” ra ang nahimong premyo, apan ang mga partisipante sa pinaka-unang Mindanao-wide dog show dinhi sa DavNor giapilan gikan sa Surigao, Koronadal, Polomolok, Gensan, Mati, Davao Oriental ug Davao City bisan pa kung ilahang gastos.

“It’s not about the prize. This is about the love of the dog, the passion, the love of the sports we want to promote not only in Davao but in Mindanao and the Philippines as well,” matod ni Ronnel Gilloso, miembro sa K9 DAUG (Davao Agility Unified Group) nga gusto sab ipaabot sa publiko ang mensahe nga isipon ang binuhing iro ingong miembro sa pamilya. 

Matod sab ni Andy Lozano nga gikan sa Polomolok ug miembro sa Socsargen K9 Sports Club, Inc. nga sa ilang gipang-apilan nga dog show competition walay premyo ug dinhi lang sa Davao del Norte ang aduna. Ang ilang “passion” ug pagka pet-lovers gawas pa nga stress-reliever ang binuhing iro nagtukmod nila nga moapil sa mga kompetisyon didto sa Manila ug Cebu.

Gikumpirmar usab kini ni Dr. Embate.

“With regards to prizes para sa kanila bale secondary lang yun, yung sa kanila is yung burning desire to participate in this event. Actually nationwide na sila, many naka-participate na sa national competition,” matod sa PVO department head nga mapasalamaton sa malampusong kalihokan nga kabahin sa ika-51ng anibersaryo sa Davao del Norte. 

Gusto sab ipaabot sa publiko ni Dr. Embate ang katuyoan sa dog show competition.

“First, we all know that dogs are man’s best friend. May it be different breeds even yung tinatawag nating Asong Pinoy (Aspin). Secondly, we are here to advocate responsible pet ownership in line with our desire to declare the Philippines as “rabies-free” by the year 2025. This is one event which will promote responsibility of ownership, hopefully,” dugang pasabot sa DavNor beterinaryo.

Ilawom sa letrang “E” (Enhanced Agri-Aquaculture) sa BEST PEOPLE development agenda ni Gobernador Anthony del Rosario katuyoan niini nga mapalapad ang mga serbisyong agrikultura lakip na ang pag-atiman sa mga hayop.

Ang ika-51ng anibersaryo sa Davao del Norte hugtanong gisuportahan sa pangunang mga partners Tagum Agricultural Development Company, Inc. (TADECO), Ulticon Builders, Inc. ug MED 9.
