Top billing the sustained growth of the Davao Region, Davao del Norte Governor and Regional Development Council (RDC) XI Chairperson Edwin “Kuya Gob” Jubahib highlighted the progress of flagship infrastructure projects during the RDC XI’s 4th Quarter Meeting held at the Sotogrande Hotel, Davao City, on December 3, 2025.

Jubahib gave an update on the ongoing projects incorporated in the Davao Regional Development Plan (DRDP) 2023-2028, such as the Samal Island-Davao City Connector (SIDC) Bridge, which is on its 38% accomplishment, the commencement of the right-of-way acquisition for the Mindanao Railway Project: Tagum-Davao-Digos Segment, and the Bucana Bridge, on its 99.2% accomplishment.

The governor also highlighted efforts in the economic, social, and health sectors, focusing on maintaining the region’s insurgency-free status to sustain its economic activities.

Aside from the reported accomplishments, Jubahib also reminded the council of the importance of disaster preparedness for every community.

“Let us keep our communities affected by recent calamities in mind. Their resilience is an inspiration, and their needs must remain a priority in our planning. I call on all of us to integrate proactive disaster preparedness and response measures to protect our communities,” said Jubahib.

The governor also administered the oath-taking for the newly appointed Chairpersons and Co-Chairpersons of the Development Administration Committee, Economic Development Committee, Infrastructure Development Committee, and the Social Development Committee.

The event marks the first Council Meeting led by Governor Jubahib since his appointment as the RDC XI Chairperson for the year 2025-2028.
