360 officials of Davao del Norte received an award during the 2016 Grand Awarding Ceremony for their exemplary service, last September 29, 2016 at the RDR Gym.
The awarding is part of the 116th Anniversary celebration of Philippine Civil Service.
Recognition was given to those who have rendered excellent service to the Dabaonons.
“This grand awarding ceremony is our way of recognizing the efforts of our Capitol personnel. They have made a big difference in the lives of our Dabaonon people. They have showed extraordinary attributes vital in helping achieve our common goal of building a better Davao del Norte. They are our public service heroes,” The message of Governor Anthony del Rosario read.
Governor Anthony G. del Rosario received recognition for being the Executive Vice President of League of Provinces in the Philippines and National Executive Board Member for Region 11. Vice Governor Alan. R. Dujali also received recognition for his service as Regional Director of League of Vice Governors of the Philippines with 20 other officials and employees who holds positions in national and regional organizations. 338 more officials also received special awards.
The governor reminded everyone that the awards should not be the sole reason for the employees to do their mandates, that the satisfaction of the clients should be basis of excellent service.
“However, let me remind you that the prospect of receiving an award should not be the sole reason to be diligent. Over and above the recognition that we get, the satisfaction of our clients and the opportunity of providing our constituents a better quality of life should mainly fire up our enthusiasm to serve. . . . Because the true yardstick of our success as civil servants is when we have done something relevant to improve the lot of our constituents and to empower them to take full control of their future. These are the true parameters of the kind of transformative governance that we espouse,” the governor added.
Governor del Rosario also recognized all the employees, stating that despite the lack of plaques, their service is praiseworthy.
“And to those of you who did not receive an award today, this does not mean that you are not doing your job well. Every personnel is part and parcel of our province’ transformation from a transactional entity into a potent provider of enabling environment. I would like to assure you that the provincial government recognizes the efforts of everyone in pursuing our organizational goals,” he said.
He also commended the Provincial Human Resource and Management Office with their partnership with Provincial Civil Service Commission in the success of the 116th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary Celebration.
