The new set of the Philippine Councilors’ League (PCL)-Davao del Norte Chapter Officials for term 2016-2019 had officially sworn into office before Governor Anthony del Rosario yesterday at the Tahanan ng Gobernador.

Island Garden City of Samal (IGACOS) Councilor Dan Gervacio is leading the group as the new PCL-DavNor President together with Councilors Silvino Matobato Jr. (Vice-President); Raquel Geraldo (Secretary General); Tristan Royce Aala (Treasurer); Virgilio Getizo (Auditor); Joel Bayanay (Public Relations Officer), and; Macario Bermudez (Business Manager).

Newly-elected PCL-DavNor Board of Directors (BODs) who also have taken their oath of office were: Gregorio Dujali, Romy Cirilo, Henry Darunday, Melfar Aguiluz, Richard Guindolman, Pio Paemban Jr., Ruby May Balinggao, Cris John Lura, Ireneo Landasan, Osmenio Serono and Agripino Coquilla Jr.

“Kailangan i-establish nato ang PCL-DavNor website para ang tanang activities nato labi na kay next week sugod na pod ang PCL week nato. Tanang activities makita kailangan naay transparency sa PCL-DavNor [We need to establish the PCL-DavNor Website so all our activities... especially next week our PCL week will commence.. All activities should be presented for transparency in PCL-DavNor]," said Gervacio declaring his initial plans for the remaining quarter of the year.

The new PCL president added that his team will also be involved in community engagements to the constituents of the province.

“Kasagaran sa akoang paglakaw-lakaw sa mga kaubanan nako sa LGU, ang ilang gipangayo nga matagan pud ug pagtagad ang atoang health care programs [Usually in my visits together with my colleagues in the LGU, they request attention and priority towards our heatlh care programs]”, Gervacio added aiming to create a local ordinance giving incentives to Dabaonons who are financially incapable of medicating their family or relatives in the hospitals.

The league announced that its first activity for this year will be the PCL-DavNor week on September 9 to be held at Samal.
